Who's First?

Who's First?
In the first two years the district has offered the PSAT 8/9, no 8th grader has earned a score in the 99th percentile, the highest level possible. But we're out to change that.

Students who want to get into the most selective colleges and earn the biggest scholarships need to put in a lot of time above and beyond what their teachers require. And they need to start early. That's why we're focusing on 5th, 6th and 7th grade students and their families and helping them to under what it takes to reach the very highest levels of education and earn all the rewards that come with being the best.

There are three simple steps to reaching the 99th percentile:

Know where you are. Use student CAASPP scores in English and math to know your starting point.
Know where you're going. Know what percentage you need to get into various colleges and universities. (Like a video game, the higher your score, the more colleges they can potentially unlock.)
Know how to get there. Know how many hours of work to put in and the kind and level of work to complete.
