READING:

  • Audible Stories: Starting today, kids everywhere can instantly stream an incredible collection of stories, including titles across six different languages, that will help them continue dreaming, learning, and just being kids. All stories are free to stream on your desktop, laptop, phone or tablet.

  • FunBrain: Reading & Grammar games

  • Into the Book: Provides reading comprehension activities in English and Spanish as well as elementary children with disabilities.

  • Scholastic: Learn at Home: Find the best books, literary resources and educational solutions for kids at Scholastic, a leader in publishing and education for nearly 100 years.

TYPING:
  • Nitro Type: Amp up your typing speed while competing against others around the globe in our fun online typing game! Free to play and fit for all ages.

  • Typing Club: Master touch typing using this free game / educational program. This online program will assist you with learning and improving your typing speed! ... Using this program, your typing speed will reach 10 to 12 words per minute rather quickly.


FUN AND ADVENTURE:
  • Explore the Surface of Mars: Explore the surface of Mars on the Curiosity Rover.

  • FarmFood 360: This Canadian site FarmFood 360 offers 11 Virtual Tours of farms from minks, pigs, and cows, to apples and eggs.

  • San Bernardino County Museum: The San Bernardino County Museum in Redlands is one of more than 1,200 museums worldwide that have partnered with the Google Cultural Institute to create the Google Arts & Culture website and post their exhibits online. In the San Bernardino Museum’s page people can check out Native American pottery, baskets and other ancient crafts on the Google site.

  • Tour the San Diego Zoo: The San Diego Zoo has a website just for kids with amazing videos, activities, and games. Enjoy the tour!

  2. Download the free app from your app store.
  3. Play 15 mins each day with your child.



Click to Access MyOn by RenaissanceMyON is a personalized digital library available at students' fingertips. Students are able to gain access to MyON by following the directions below:

  1. Use the URL: https://global-zone51.renaissance-go.com/welcomeportal/272178
  2. Students will enter their username and password for Renaissance STAR.
  3. The username and password is the same authenticating credentials that they have used in the classroom to log into STAR Reading.
** Please note: The username and password must be in all lower case
** If the student does not know their username and password, contact the classroom teacher, or a site liaison at: renstarinfo@sbcusd.k12.ca.us
